It was only after roaming around Itaewon that we went to Everland, South Korea’s largest theme park. Since we arrived almost late in the afternoon, we only availed of the night pass.
Safari World
After purchasing our ticket, we ran as fast as we can to reach the Safari World. The sun was already slowly setting and the Safari World will be closing in less than an hour. Good thing we manage to make it on time. After waiting in line, we rode a bus for a one-of-a-kind safari journey.
As the safari bus was moving, we saw lions, tigers, and many other wild creatures. There were even some jumping on our ride like the tall bears. We were all thrilled by what we saw. It was just a brief safari tour but we enjoyed it a lot. All of us were not much into extreme rides at theme parks and it was the Safari World that made our Everland visit really worthwhile.

Finishing the Safari World bus tour, we exited in a souvenir shop where we get to do some photo-op with cute animal headdress.
T Express and Double Rock Spin
I’m personally not into extreme rides but if there are some I can recommend for you try in Everland, it’s the T Express and the Double Rock Spin.
The T Express
The T Express is South Korea’s first wooden roller coaster that is considered to be the world’s steepest wooden roller coaster at a 77 degree angle. For a few minutes, we were contemplating to try it because it was so cool seeing a roller coaster made from wood. Fortunately it was so darn cold and it was dark already that we all agreed not to do it (thank God!).
Double Rock Spin
The other interesting ride I saw that would satisfy the adrenaline junkies is the Double Rock Spin. Visitors will be lifted to a height of 20 meters where the ride will execute four consecutive full spins. We stopped by a moment to watch it and I just shook my head, LOL.
Parade and Fireworks
To end our Everland visit, we watched the parade and the fireworks show. These are the other things you would enjoy if you’re not much into extreme rides like us.
How to Go to Everland
By Subway: Transfer to Yongin Everline at Giheung Station (Bundang Line). Get off at Jeondae-Everland Station. Take the free shuttle bus from Exit 3.
By Bus: Walk from Gangnam Station (Seoul Subway Line 2), Exit 10 to Gangnam Station Bus Stop. Take Bus No. 5002 to Everland Bus Stop.
Overall
If you’re looking for some thrill, Everland Resort definitely has something in store for you. But in case you don’t want to torture yourself like me, there are other fun stuff you can experience at the place. I really enjoy the safari bus tour. You can opt then to just take the night pass which is much cheaper if you don’t have much time or if you will not be riding a lot.
