A mighty towering attraction of Mpumalanga, the Pinnacle Rock was the first scenic destination we explored coming from Graskop.
From Johannesburg, we stayed at the town of Graskop, one of the starting points of the stunning Panama Route. Graskop is a town in Mpumalanga province, South Africa. The Panama Route is a noteworthy attraction on its own even if some people only consider it on the side of their safari adventure visiting Kruger National Park.
Towering Attraction of Mpumalanga
Traversing the scenic Panama Route, we first made a quick stop at the Pinnacle Rock. The Pinnacle Rock is a quartzite rock that is 30 meters in height. Blending with its picturesque, natural backdrop, the freestanding rock is decorated with lush vegetation. From the viewing point, the Pinnacle Rock is easy to locate because it’s a soaring skyscraper amidst a breathtaking landscape.
Continue to drive the route because just a few kilometers away is another view point that is just as stunning, the God’s Window.
