The green scenery that welcomed our group is calming and refreshing. I can hardly remember the last time I visited a farm – probably more than a decade ago already. Just imagine how excited I was when we finally arrived at Paradizoo in Mendez, Cavite.
Paradizoo Supports 4th Farm Tourism Conference
It was actually during the 4th Farm Tourism Conference when I got the chance to visit Paradizoo with fellow bloggers. The 4th Farm Tourism Conference is a three-day event that aims to educate delegates from the agriculture and tourism sectors. It teaches how to integrate tourism and agriculture to extend the knowledge of local farmers with new possibilities in generating income. The last day of the conference enabled delegates to explore different farm spots around Tagaytay including Paradizoo.
No less than Mr. Robert Yupangco himself, CEO and owner, gave us background about the place. According to him, they still have a lot of plans and projects for Paradizoo. And despite of him humbly saying that recent heavy rains had been ruining some of the things they had already built, I was able to see why it’s considered as one of the go-to farms in the area. I don’t know what a “perfect” farm is like, but I personally felt I had such a complete farm experience touring around Paradizoo.
From the wide array of animals to the “Bahay Kubo” vegetables they have, below are the reasons why I think Paradizoo offers that complete farm experience.
Farm Frenzy
A wide variety of animals in their simulated natural habitat can be found in Farm Frenzy like sheep, goats, camels and horses. Some of the animals can actually roam around. One activity that we enjoyed was feeding some of the animals like rabbits.
Animal Feeding
To feed the rabbits, you can buy some carrots for PHP10/stick. I’m not a pet owner that’s why interacting with animals in instances like this is a wonderful experience for me. I’m sure children will love it, too!
Bonsai Garden
One of my personal favorites in the Paradizoo farm is the Bonsai Garden. I actually saw some of the bonsai still has wire. I just learned that wiring is a technique used to make the shape of the bonsai look more pleasing.
And yes, I discovered that and some other interesting things about bonsai when we were able to talk to Paradizoo’s bonsai expert, Atish Dipankar Sarker. He gave us a lot of tips in growing bonsai and encouraged us to have one at home. He also conducts bonsai seminar in case you’re interested to delve deeper in bonsai gardening.
Flower and Butterfly Garden
For someone like me surrounded by tall buildings everyday, walking around Paradizoo’s Flower and Butterfly Garden was totally therapeutic. Gardens like these do bring back childhood memories to me and yes, make me feel like a child again.
Bee Farm
Aside from the Bonsai Garden, Bee Farm is also my favorite at Paradizoo. Mr. Marcia, as he is fondly called in the farm, was very enthusiastic to demonstrate us how to make honey. If you want to have your own bee farm, he personally offers bee farm training.
Farm Vegetables
Paradizoo farm is proud to house the complete list of vegetables mentioned in the famous Filipino children’s song, “Bahay Kubo”. The different plots parading made me remember my grade school days when we used to do basic planting activities.
And yes, you can taste some of the harvest in the farm for free! We were able to try some pine apple and it was so sweet. If you want more, you can buy fruits and vegetables from them.
Wedding Reception Pavilion
Paradizoo Farm has a bonus wedding reception pavilion. Couples may find this a unique venue for that hacienda wedding theme.

Been there! I thought it is the best zoo in Tagaytay and one thing na talagang namangha ako, was the pet cemetery. They have that and if I remember correctly, malapit siya doon sa mga butterflies. I was there with kiddos some couple of years ago siguro.

Been to Paradizoo this first quarter of the year. I went there with a few bloggers. I didnt enjoy my visit as I kept on thinking and imagining my boys would love it there. I plan to go back with my family, hopefully before Christmas.
The place looks A-W-E-some!!! I’m not a fan of rabbits but they look really cute when fed with those carrot on sticks😂 And, a pet cemetery? That’s something we, pet lovers and pet parents, need. A must-see and experience place, indeed. 🙂
I have yet to bring my kids here. It looks interesting. Although it’s quite similar to other farms or zoos also because they also give visitors the chance to feed the animals. Maybe, we’ll drop by next time we are in Tagaytay.
Agriculture and Tourism, I want this conference too! Never been here but will definitely go when I visit Tagaytay. I always like this calm set up in a garden with a twist of unique set up. The Pet Cemetery, I heard from a friend and she loved it.
Ugh! Those farm animals are so friggin’ adorable. Will definitely visit this place the next time in Tagaytay. I wanna see all those cute critters.
I lived in Cavite but haven’t visited this place yet. Do they have an entrance fee? I want to pet the rabbits!!!! Plus take home fresh honey 🙂 I love the place instantly from all the pictures.
We’ve been here before 4 years ago I think they are starting pa lang. We just saw two to five animals lang but we enjoyed the place because it’s malamig. And we love the place because ma feel mo nature. I think we need to go back to see a lot of improvements
It’s in Cavite and it’s probably just an hour or two drive from home. I would love to visit! I just want to ask if they accept private individuals for walk ins or do we need to have a reservation prior to visiting?

That looks like so much fun! I take for granted the farms near me I think. I live in a farming community. I love to spend time outdoors though, and mixing that with a group full of like-minded people must be really a fun time!
