I am not among the bravest children growing up. You can’t expect me to try the most extreme rides in a theme park. But traveling has exposed to a lot of heart-pounding activities like parasailing and white water rafting. I believed my adventure barometer has already increased significantly (and is continuing steadily, yay!) Just early this year, I was able to try zipline for the first time at Tree Top Adventure Subic. And with just a short interval of time, I did it once again in Tree Top Adventure Baguio.
Tree Top Adventure
Tree Top Adventure is a famous destination in Baguio offering exciting rides that can be a great bonding experience for the entire family or group of friends. The surrounding nature makes Tree Top Adventure far more interesting compared to the conventional theme parks we’ve all been accustomed to. The cold weather and the tall pine trees made every ride I took more memorable.
Tree Top Adventure Rides
There are two types of rides in Tree Top Adventure – slow pace and fast pace. Among the slow pace rides are Canopy and Funicular rides. On the other hand, fast pace rides include Tree Drop, Superman and Silver Surfer rides.
Before our group get started with the rides, a general briefing was conducted by a staff to emphasize important reminders including the DO’s and DON’T’s.
Tree Drop
Tree Drop is claimed to be Tree Top Adventure’s most extreme ride. As our group ushered to the adventure park, Tree Drop is the first ride that welcomed us. I must admit, the look of it already made my heart skipped a beat. As its name implies, you will be dropped from the top of a 60-feet tree facing down with arms and legs widely spread. Did I try it? Damn no, haha! Maybe next time! I just contented myself watching some from our group try it.
Canopy Ride
In the same area as the Tree Drop is the starting point of the Canopy Ride. Tree Top Adventure Canopy Ride is a network of five motorized cable rides. Hanging 100 feet above the ground, a group of four persons at a time can take the ride. With a few raindrops, we enjoyed our Canopy Ride while marveling at the green scenery surrounding us.
Silver Surfer Ride
From the end of our Canopy Ride, we walked a little to the next ride, none other than the Silver Surfer Ride. With Silver Surfer, you’ll get to experience what it feels like to surf in the wind. It can be done solo or by pair.
To the not-so-brave at heart, this ride may look a bit scary. But gliding with the cold air while screaming at the entire forest is so much fun! This is definitely a top favorite for me next to the Superman Ride.
Funicular Ride
The Funicular Ride is another relaxing ride in Tree Top Adventure. Coming from the thrilling Silver Surfer Ride, we get to take a rest here while sitting prettily on a tram moving up and down in an inclined railway. Fantastic view once again!
Superman Ride
Superman Ride is the most popular ride in Tree Top Adventure and yes, my most favorite too! It is their version of zip line where you get to take off from Tower A and traverse a cable to reach Tower B in a position that resembles Superman in his flying position. Elevation is 150 feet from the ground!
Bonus Trekking and Skywalk
Aside from the popular rides, you can also enjoy Trekking and Skywalk at Tree Top Adventure to get closer with nature. Blankly staring at the seemingly endless green scenery is surely therapeutic!
Traveler’s Tips
- Those with health conditions especially those with heart ailments are not advised to take the rides. A waiver will be signed by guests before taking any ride.
- To save money, avail the outdoor package instead of purchasing individual rides.
- Children are allowed in all of the rides but must be at least 4 feet tall to fit into the harness.
- Listen to the facilitator’s safety instructions to avoid getting accidents.
- Walking shorts are not allowed!

Nakakatuwa naman kayo. Haha. If there’s one thing that scares me, it is height… and speed. I used to be scared of the deep too, but learning how to scuba dive took care of that especially when I went on to become a dive instructor and an advanced technical diver. Pero height and speed, hindi pa.
Height, I did hike once and I plan to do so again so hopefully, that conquers my fear of height.

What a fun looking trip! I’ve never been ziplining but I would like to go! I think I would enjoy the Tree Drop because I love extreme roller coaster rides. But the Superman sounds fun too!

Wow! Newest attraction in Baguio. Bet ko ung tree drop. Since I have lesser fear of heights I think I can do that. The silver ride is also interesting. Looking forward to visit Baguio again! Mukang its a fun place to visit.

I’ve seen this when I went to Baguio last 2014. But we werent able to avail of the rides because it suddenly rained. I would have liked to try Superman and the Canopy ride. Thanks for the info! 🙂
Sayang! Hope you can go back. 🙂 They’re very strict because safety is one of their topmost concerns, so when it rains, they really stop operating.
