Seoul Trick Eye Museum is an interactive museum displaying 3D paintings where guests can actually pose as if part of the masterpiece. Cool isn’t it? Visiting Trick Eye was the first thing we did when we arrived in South Korea.

Aside from the Trick Eye Museum, we noticed other attractions like the Love Museum and the Ice Museum in the place. Since there was a discounted ticket for the Trick Eye and Ice Museum combined, we opted to see the two.

Trick of the Eye Painting
The paintings in Trick Eye Museum use what they call trompe-l’oeil technique or trick of the eye. As we arrived, we can’t get enough of all the paintings that we want to try them all.

The varied number of paintings can surely be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Some were funny. And some looked like magic.

To help the guests achieve the illusion of the paintings, there were stickers on the floor that served as markers where the photographer should stand and take the shot.

Make sure you pose with the best facial expression you can have appropriate for the painting. Some pieces were designed to be taken with a partner or friend. Take as many shots as you can!

Ice Museum
After taking seemingly endless shots at the Trick Eye Museum, we went straight to the adjacent Ice Museum.

The Ice Museum contains ice sculptures where guests can play around and also take photos with.

Just as in the Trick Eye Museum, we enjoyed the different pieces in the Ice Museum. There were not too many so you can finish going around in a few minutes.
